Kiehl’s Branding Project

Kiehl’s is a skincare and wellness brand that focuses on its ingredients and effectiveness rather than on current trends. They know their product works, and their audience returns to them because of the trust they have in the company. My team found this strategy inspiring and we wanted to highlight the bond Kiehl’s has formed with its customers.

As a team, we wanted to ensure that we respected the roots Kiehl’s has planted in Manhattan. We began developing print ads to illustrate the history of the company as well as its most beloved products. Kiehl’s isn’t successful only because of its branding, but because of its trustworthy ingredients and products.

Reaching Out

We wanted to be interactive with our audience and decided that developing small pop-up stores would allow new customers to become acquainted with Kiehl’s. My design for these carts is simple and clean to reflect the products sold. These small stands would provide samples of Kiehl’s top-selling items and educate those who may not be aware of the company.

Social Posts

To create more buzz around the flagship store, we will be advertising the store through social media posts. We created informational posters with a vintage feel to drive home the impact Kiehl’s has had on the skincare game since 1851. We also created animated posts for stories that show the transparency of the ingredients used in Kiehl’s products.
